Jamie and his Food Tube team have scooped top honors at the Broadcast Digital Awards.

The channel was nominated for the Best New Original Channel and Jamie collected the award at the ceremony last night (Wednesday 3rd July) in London.

The team beat entries from BBC and ITN and Jamie said today: “Obviously I’m super chuffed that in Food Tube’s first year it got recognized as the best. We are still learning so much and listening to our audience and seeing what works that we are only going to get better and give it extra love.

“The team has been amazing and this is a massive boost for them as they give so much of their time to making it a beautiful thing – thank you all. This is a top award, so really proud.”

Jamie Magazine launches iPad edition

Jamie Magazine has now launched a digital edition for the iPad in the US & Canada.

This North American version contains all the lovely content of the regular digital edition, but the recipes have been converted into imperial and cup measurements for the new audience. There’s also no aubergine, coriander or courgette in this version, eggplant, cilantro and zucchini have replaced them.

“We’re really pleased to announce this launch,” says Jamie Magazine managing editor Paul Dring. “It makes our brilliant content so much more accessible to all of Jamie’s fans in the US and Canada.”

All this for $5.99 with the first issue available to buy now, this year’s Italian issue no less, fantastico!

Among the 90+ recipes are new, Italian-inspired chicken recipes from Jamie himself, as well as a pasta-making master class from Pete Begg, rustic southern cooking from Puglia, and recipes from such Italian luminaries as Gennaro Contaldo, Antonio Carluccio and Giorgio Locatelli.
